About Recruitment : Pursuant to the New HR methodology for induction of Agniveervayu under ‘Agnipath Scheme’, aimed to provide an opportunity to Nation’s youth to experience military way of life for a period of four years, Indian Air Force invites ONLINE applications from unmarried Indian male and female candidates for selection test on 22-23 September 2026 to join the IAF as an AGNIVEERVAYU. The number and employability of female candidates will be decided as per service requirement.

Age Limit
  • Agniveervayu Intake 02/2027 : Candidates born between 01 July 2005 and 01 January 2010 (both dates inclusive) are eligible to apply.
  • Upper Age Limit at Enrolment Age : Candidates should not be more than 22 years of age on the date of enrolment.
  • Medical Assistant (10+2) : Candidates should be born between 01 July 2006 and 01 July 2010 (both dates inclusive).
  • Medical Assistant (Diploma/B.Pharmacy/B.Sc Pharmacy)-  Unmarried : Candidates should be born between 01 July 2003 and 01 July 2008 (both dates inclusive).
  • Medical Assistant (Diploma/B.Pharmacy/B.Sc Pharmacy) – Married : Candidates should be born between 01 July 2003 and 01 July 2006 (both dates inclusive).

Agniveer Vayu Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
· 1.6 Km run to be completed within 07 minutes for Male and within 08 minutes for Female.

· Candidates shall also have to complete 10 Push-ups, 10 Sit-ups and 20 Squats within the stipulated time to qualify in the Physical Fitness Test.

Airmen Group ‘Y’ Medical Assistant (10+2) –
  • 12th Pass with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
Airmen Group ‘Y’ Medical Assistant (Pharmacist) –
  • 12th Pass with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English, along with Diploma / B.Pharmacy / B.Sc Pharmacy with minimum 50% marks.
Agniveervayu (Science Subjects) –
  • 12th Pass with Mathematics, Physics, and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English, OR Three Year Diploma in Engineering in a relevant discipline.
Agniveervayu (Other Than Science Subjects) –
  • 12th Pass in any stream with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
