Eligibilitv Criteria

· Candidate must have minimum academic and professional qualification as per NCTE norms as follows:1

Minimum Qualification fgr appearinq in Lower Primarv TET (classes I to V)

OR

· Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.E1.Ed)

OR

· Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)

OR

· Graduation and two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)

OR

· Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)obtained from any NCTE recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in class I to V, provided the person so appointed as teacher will have to mandatorily undergo a six month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE, within two years of such appointment as primary teacher.

· b) However, a candidate who is pursuing and having Admit Card of final year examination of any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCl, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Guideline dated 11th February,2O11, may also apply for TET. However he/she can apply for appointment only after acquiring all the required qualification.

· Remark: Candidate admitted into 2 year D. El. Ed program before 31stAugust 2009: Please refer to Clause B under subheading Relaxation.

Minimum Qualification for appearinq in Upper Primarv TET (Classes Vl to Vlll)

OR

· At least 50% marks either in Graduation or in Post Graduation and B. Ed

OR

· Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed).

OR

· Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.A./8. Sc. Ed. Or B.A. Ed/B. Sc. Ed.

OR

· Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year B. Ed.(Special Education)c$-

· Note: Minimum percentage of marks in graduation shall not be applicable to those incumbents who had already taken admission to the Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Elementary Education or equivalent course prior to the 29th July, 2011.
